Nordhoff’s secondary will get a boost from the return of senior cornerback Benny Borchard, who sat out last week’s game for disciplinary reasons.
The Rangers (1-1), who last week suffered four second-half turnovers and lost to small-school power Santa Ynez, 20-10, host Bishop Diego tonight.
Borchard had 13 tackles and an interception in the Rangers’ opener against Moorpark.

The good news for Santa Clara: Jimmie Griffin has passed for 365 yards and is averaging 18.3 yards a completion.
The bad news: Santa Clara has minus-46 yards rushing and was outscored, 105-7, in two games.
