St. Matthew’s to Open Season With ‘20s Program

The Chamber Orchestra of St. Matthew’s will begin its season Oct. 6 at 8 p.m. with a program titled “The Roaring ‘20s.” Thomas Neenan will conduct Copland’s “Music for the Theatre” (1925), Stravinsky’s “Pulcinella” Suite (1922), the Suite from Kurt Weill’s “Threepenny Opera” (1928) and, with Delores Stevens as piano soloist, the original jazz-band version of Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” (1925).
