Festival Features Parade, Carnival

The 16th annual Simi Valley Days continues through this weekend with a variety of events, including a parade this morning and a carnival featuring rides and games.
The parade begins at 9 a.m. at Los Angeles Avenue and Erringer Road, and the carnival--which runs from 11 a.m. to midnight today and noon to 10 p.m. Sunday--features two dozen rides and several other attractions, including a haunted house and 30 booths.
A rodeo begins at 6 p.m. today and at 2 p.m. Sunday.
Other events today: marching band awards (1:30 p.m.), the Tracy Casom Dancers (2:30-3:30 p.m.), the Conejo Cloggers (8:30 to 9 p.m.), and several country bands, including the Brownbaggers (3:45 to 5 p.m.), Paradox (5 to 6 p.m.), Visions (6:15 to 7:15 p.m.), Heartache (7:30 to 8:30 p.m.), and Dave Storm and Thundercreek (9 to 11 p.m.).
Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for seniors and children.
