Low-income mobile home owners living in the city’s Empowerment Zone, an area targeted for community development, may be eligible for interest-free property improvement loans through a new program approved by the City Council.
The maximum loan amount for owner-occupied residences is $7,500. A portion of the debt will be forgiven after each year of ownership and occupancy. If the owner remains in the mobile home for five years, repayment will not be required. Information: (714) 667-2200.
