Duke/Fluor Daniel, a joint venture of Fluor Corp. in Aliso Viejo and Duke Energy Corp. in Charlotte, N.C., said Monday it has received a contract for engineering and procurement services at a Ridgefield, N.J., power plant.
Financial terms of the deal with PSEG Power LLC, a unit of Public Service Enterprise Group, were not disclosed.
Duke/Fluor said in a news release that PSEG’s new plant is a 500-megawatt, natural gas-fired facility at its Bergen generating station in Ridgefield. The project, called Bergen 2, is scheduled to be completed by June 2002.
Duke/Fluor Daniel’s services will cover all major plant components, including turbine generators and emission-control equipment. Controls for the new facility will be at the existing plant.
Duke/Fluor completed similar services for repowering an existing plant at the site.
