7 TONIGHT ORANGE COAST COLLEGE
The anticipated matchup between Orange County’s top two teams instead becomes a battle between No. 1 and No. 3 teams after Edison dropped a spot in the county sportswriters’ poll--without losing a game. The Chargers will threaten Mater Dei’s supremacy if Darryl Poston can duplicate his effort of last week, when he ran for 197 yards and three touchdowns against Dana Hills. Edison, which hasn’t faced a passing team in its first three games, will be in for a test against quarterback Matt Leinart, who threw for 401 yards and four touchdowns last Saturday against Concord De La Salle.
