He Says Coverage Needs to Get Back on Course

Wouldn’t it be possible to actually have someone cover golf for The Times? Thomas Bonk’s latest column has him pondering just how boring this week’s tour stop will be because of a lack of top-25 players. Does it not occur to Bonk that many of us watch to see good shots more than to merely watch stars? When he is reduced to criticizing the post-round remarks of a player (Annika Sorenstam), we are left to wonder who ought be criticized: the one who answers or the one who asks the pointless question?
