* Re “County Jail Needs Scrutiny,” Orange County Perspective, April 22:
I’m also very concerned about the Orange County jail conditions. I wrote to Sheriff Mike Carona and our five supervisors about the beating in jail of Jerome Wilhoit, who later was found to be “factually innocent” [in a student molestation case].
I did not hear back from any of them. If they do not respond to taxpaying voting citizens, maybe they will respond to the press.
