Attacking Guns in Court

Re “Step Right Up and Plug State’s Gun Loophole,” Commentary, Aug. 8: The effort to hold gun manufacturers responsible for the misuse of their product is nothing more than a transparent attempt to subvert the 2nd Amendment through the legal system. The gun control lobby has been unsuccessful in its effort to legislate against gun rights, so the courts are used to change laws or force legitimate businesses into bankruptcy. More than a few lawyers will become fantastically rich if such frivolous lawsuits succeed.
