A Russian rocket blasted off for the International Space Station, where it will dock Thursday to deliver food and equipment.
The unmanned Progress M-45 took off from the Baikonur cosmodrome on the Kazakh steppe, a spokesman for the launch site said.
The launch had been postponed from July 24 due to technical glitches aboard the station. A U.S. space shuttle resupplied it in the meantime. The shuttle Discovery brought a new crew to the station last week and headed home Monday.
