Sheriff’s homicide detectives released a composite sketch Wednesday of a man wanted for questioning in the stabbing death of a Cal Poly Pomona student.
Christina Burmeister, 20, of Cerritos never made it home from a campus party Friday night. Her body was found Saturday in her pickup truck on California 39, just north of Azusa in the San Gabriel Mountains.
Police believe the suspect used Burmeister’s ATM card to withdraw $400 from a Washington Mutual Bank in Montclair late Friday. Police have no height or weight on the man and his face was partly covered by a hood.
The city of Cerritos and Washington Mutual Bank have offered rewards totaling $20,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Burmeister’s killer, authorities said.
Anyone with information is asked to call homicide detectives at (323) 890-5500.
