Condit Talks to TV, Magazines

As Rep. Gary Condit (D-Ceres) prepared to speak on ABC television tonight at 10 about his relationship with missing intern Chandra Levy, advisors disclosed other interview plans meant to restore his political reputation.
On Tuesday, Condit spoke to People magazine for a story scheduled to appear on newsstands Friday, with Condit and his wife, Carolyn, on the cover.
Condit also plans to talk to a television station and newspaper in California, and Newsweek magazine. And he has mailed a letter to about 200,000 constituents that is expected to arrive today.
