Body of Teenage Hiker From England Found

Search teams found the body of a teenage girl from England who had been lost on the frigid peak of Southeast Asia’s tallest mountain for a week.
The discovery put a tragic end to the intensive search for Ellie James, 17, of Cornwall, who became lost on the mist-shrouded slopes of 13,455-foot Mt. Kinabalu in Malaysia during a descent with her family and other British trekkers.
Bad weather, with winds gusting to 62 mph, delayed rescue workers, who carried the body from near the summit to a base camp at the foot of the mountain. Doctors who performed an autopsy found James died of hypothermia, police said.
