Systems Application and Technologies of Oxnard has been awarded a $66-million contract from the Navy to provide engineering and maintenance services at its Point Mugu sea range and China Lake land range.
The seven-year deal is a consolidation of three previous contracts, one of which was serviced by Systems Application and Technologies.
“The award of this most recent contract ensures stability and continued growth for the company,” said Geoff DeZavala, vice president of operations.
DeZavala said the company will be hiring 10 to 15 new employees to fill engineering, range operations and maintenance positions. About 90 existing positions, created under the three previous contracts, will be transferred to Systems Application and Technologies, he said.
