Two teenagers were killed when they were ejected from a car in a crash on the Riverside Freeway, officials said Tuesday.
Police said Jose Rodriguez was driving west on the freeway Monday night with three friends, all 17 and from Long Beach, when he lost control of the 2000 Nissan. The car crossed the center divider and was struck by a 1993 Mercury and a 1996 Nissan, police said.
Rodriguez and passenger Alberto Maya were taken to hospitals. Eric Sanchez, who was thrown from the car, died at a hospital. Another passenger, whose name was not released, died at the scene.
