Taste of Texas Marks Dinner at the Bushes

In her closely watched debut as White House hostess--at a dinner for 138 governors, spouses, Cabinet members and top Bush aides--First Lady Laura Bush’s intent was simple: “She’s been focused on her guests having a good time and being comfortable,” a spokeswoman said.
The dinner had just a touch of Texas, featuring a “chocolate tumbleweed” dessert.
