From West Coast to East and beyond, citizens of the world put on their coolest--or depending on the weather, warmest--clothes to celebrate the dawning of 2001.
There were furry coats, skinny tops, animal prints, leather jackets and plenty of head gear--from mufflers to wedding veils.
The hearty strutted their stuff in Hollywood and at the Staples Center; on Larimer Street in Denver and the Strip in Las Vegas; at a ball in Hanoi and, of course, in New York’s Times Square.
And to think they might have--as so many others did--stayed home in their jammies!
