* NetIQ Corp., whose software manages corporate computer networks, agreed to buy WebTrends Corp. for about $1 billion in stock to add products that analyze spending by Web site visitors and to broaden its potential customer base.
* Defunct online retailer Garden.com sold the content from its Web site to Wal-Mart Stores Inc.’s Walmart.com and its brand name to gardening company Burpee Holding Co. for a combined $4.4 million.
