YEAR: Junior
SPORT: Soccer
SEASON AT A GLANCE: It has been a record-setting year for the talented forward, who broke the school record for goals in a season when he had three in a victory over Sylmar last Monday. He has 28 goals this season, breaking the mark of 26 by William Diaz in 1995, and 40 for his career, 32 from the school record held by his brother, Oscar.
WEEK AT A GLANCE: Sims led Reseda (17-5-2, 3-2-1 in Valley Mission League play) to two victories with four goals. He had an early goal against league-leading San Fernando (7-7-1, 4-2) on Friday in a 1-0 victory on a muddy, water-covered field. It helped the Regents move to within one point of the Tigers in the league standings.
