Greenspan on Tax Cut
Alan Greenspan is advocating a tax cut in order to shrink the “surplus” (Jan. 26). What surplus? We have people with no health insurance, substandard schools, national parks and forests short of personnel and years behind in maintenance, elderly who have to choose between prescriptions and food, ghettos, polluted rivers, polluted air, brownfields--the list goes on.
Let’s take care of our people, our infrastructure, our air and water and then talk about any surplus.
