Long and Beck Get Victories in Waves

San Clemente’s Greg Long finished first in the men’s open and Holly Beck of Palos Verdes won the women’s open last week during the National Scholastic Surfing Assn.’s National Open and Explorer Championships at Lower Trestles in San Clemente.

Winners included Patrick Gudauskas of San Clemente (juniors), Chad Wells of Seal Beach (explorer masters) and Chas Wickwire of Seal Beach (explorer seniors).
