Palmdale Driver Killed After Hitting Guardrail

A suspected drunk driver died after his car hit the guardrail on a freeway transition early Tuesday, the California Highway Patrol said.
Jose Antonio Tovar, 46, of Palmdale was on the transition from the northbound Golden State Freeway to the northbound Antelope Valley Freeway about 12:15 a.m. when his 1993 Ford Thunderbird swerved into the guardrail, the CHP said.
Tovar was alone in the car and no other vehicles were involved. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
