Bank Employee Shot in Leg During Robbery

Half a dozen tellers were tied up and one bank employee was shot in the leg Thursday during a holdup at a Wilshire Boulevard bank, police said.
Two robbers entered the Wells Fargo bank, located in the 3500 block of Wilshire, about 6 p.m. The wounded man was taken to an area hospital, but police did not release details about the shooting.
Wilshire was shut down for several hours until officers determined that the robbers had fled the area. The amount of money taken was undisclosed.
