Service Scheduled for Judge Stephen O’Neil

A memorial service for Stephen E. O’Neil, supervising judge of Los Angeles County Superior Court’s criminal division, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Peter’s By the Sea Presbyterian Church, 6410 Palos Verdes Drive South, Rancho Palos Verdes.
O’Neil, 56, was found dead in his Palos Verdes Estates home Tuesday after failing to show up for work. The cause of death was complications resulting from diabetes, according to a spokeswoman for the Judicial Council of California.
