Med Student Dies From Injuries in Car Accident

A fourth-year UCLA Medical School student who was hit earlier this month by an alleged drunk driver on Sepulveda Boulevard near Valley Meadow Road died over the weekend, authorities said Monday.
Sukey Egger, 32, who also held a doctorate in clinical psychology, died Saturday at UCLA Medical Center from injuries she suffered July 9, when her Nissan Sentra was hit by a BMW driven by an alleged drunk driver, said Los Angeles Police Lt. Steven Allen. The accident occurred on Sepulveda Boulevard near Valley Meadow Road.
The BMW driver, a 26-year-old man whose name was not available, was arrested on suspicion of felony driving under the influence.
