Thomas-Graham Named CNBC Chief Executive

CNBC named Pamela Thomas-Graham as its chief executive, completing a management transition started earlier this year. Thomas-Graham, 38, replaces Bill Bolster, a former local television executive who built CNBC into a major moneymaker for NBC since taking over in 1996. Bolster, 57, will head CNBC’s international operations, which are a joint venture with Dow Jones & Co., publisher of the Wall Street Journal.
Bolster led a spectacular rise in the growth of CNBC, which went from about $80 million in advertising revenue when he took over to more than $500 million last year.
Both Thomas-Graham and Bolster were named to temporary posts in February while the transition took place. As CEO of CNBC, Thomas-Graham will report to NBC President Andrew Lack. Bolster will be CEO of CNBC International, reporting to NBC Chairman and CEO Robert Wright.
