Father Asks Help in Finding Disabled Man

The father of a developmentally disabled man missing for more than three weeks sought the public’s help Wednesday in finding his son.

Dale Hirschy, 46, was last seen at an aunt’s home in the 1000 block of Arlington Avenue on July 3. His father, Delbert Hirschy, 77, said his son is drawn to churches and electronics stores.

“He’s friendly, especially if he’s talking about religion,” said Delbert Hirschy, who describes his son as overly trusting and in need of his medication.

Dale Hirschy has disappeared for a few days before, usually heading to downtown L.A., his father said. Anyone with information is asked to call the LAPD’s Missing Persons Unit at (213)485-5381.
