Mayor to Attend Council Meeting After Quitting

Calabasas Mayor Janice Lee, who stormed out of a City Council meeting on July 18 and quit, said in a prepared statement that she plans to attend Wednesday’s council meeting to “formally declare my intentions.” She could not be reached for comment Saturday.
It has been unclear whether she was giving up her council seat or stepping down from the largely ceremonial role of mayor, which rotates among the members.
