Suspected Gang Member Shoots Kitchen Worker

A suspected gang member fatally shot a restaurant worker Saturday evening as the victim washed dishes, authorities said.
The shooting took place in Las Playas Restaurant on Rosecrans Avenue near Paramount Boulevard about 7 p.m., said Deputy Steve Jauch. The suspect fled in a gray Nissan, he said.
It was unclear whether detectives had identified the suspect.
