L.A. Arts Students Perform ‘Dreamgirls’

Washington Prep performing arts students, including the Washington Prep Jazz Ensemble, present a production of “Dreamgirls,” the Broadway musical about the lives and loves of a Supremes-like R&B; group, through Sunday at Washington Prep High School in the Stephen and Carrie Odell Theatre Arts Academy.
Opening night Thursday featured a special guest performer, actress Sheryl Lee Ralph, an original “Dreamgirls” cast member.
The high school is at 10860 S. Denker Ave., Los Angeles.
Performances continue today through Saturday at 7:30 p.m., with matinees on Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m.
Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students.
