Los Angeles police will host the second annual Peace March through the streets of Hollywood on Saturday.
The 2.5-mile march, hosted by Hollywood’s LAPD division, local businesses and nonprofit agencies, is billed as a chance for the community to take a stand against violence.
“The march helps create an awareness in our community that we are taking a stand against violence,” said Capt. Mike Downing, head of the Hollywood Division.
The march, which curls through Hollywood neighborhoods, begins at 9 a.m. at the Hollywood Palladium, 6215 Sunset Blvd. Free food and entertainment will be provided.
