Unidentified Cyclist Killed by Gas Truck

Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a bicyclist who was killed early Thursday when he collided with a gasoline tanker truck in Los Alamitos, authorities said.
The accident happened about 8 a.m. on Katella Avenue. The man was dragged underneath the truck, Los Alamitos police Sgt. Jeff Travis said.
Paramedics took him to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he died from his injuries. An investigation is continuing, Travis said.
The victim is described as 35 to 40 years old with brown hair and a mustache. He was wearing bike shorts and top, and riding a red “Kestrel” 18-speed racing bike.
