Los Angeles sheriff’s deputies arrested six teenage skinheads Wednesday believed to be members of a Canyon Country gang responsible for a number of car burglaries and incidents of racial intimidation, authorities said.
David Eugene Lampman, 18, and five minors between 16 and 17 years old will be arraigned today, said Sgt. Katherine Voyer of the sheriff’s Hate Crimes Unit.
The youths are suspected of burglarizing or vandalizing hundreds of cars and setting off 22 explosive devices in the past year, Voyer said. Though the majority of the explosions were “practice runs,” some were used to intimidate minorities, Voyer said.
