St. Mary’s (0-0) at UC Irvine (0-0), 7 p.m., KUCI-FM (88.9)--Jerry Green returns for UC Irvine after going undrafted by the NBA in June. The 6-foot-3 senior guard scored 58 points, including 25 of 26 from the free-throw line, in exhibition games against Korabel (Ukraine) and Cal State Bakersfield. St. Mary’s went 2-27 last season and is expected to do only slightly better for first-year Coach Randy Bennett. Guard Jovan Harris, the Gaels’ lone returning starter, averaged 15.1 points last season.
