A TV show based on Pasadena (“Happily Wallowing in Some Trashy Stereotypes” by Howard Rosenberg, Sept. 28)? How fabulous! Here is a community filled with Armenians, Russian immigrants, El Salvadorans, a Thai community, Muslim centers of worship, generations of Mexican American history and African American drama, as well as old and new money capitalizing on this rich tapestry.
Oh, wait a second, it’s about a WASP family. Hmmm. I guess the best I can hope for will be a heavily accented Hispanic maid.
