50 Homes Evacuated After Explosives Found

More than 50 homes were evacuated Sunday after police found explosives and blasting caps in a residence where they were serving a search warrant.
Local police and Kern County sheriff’s deputies were looking for Mark Shannon Parkhurst, 36, who was wanted on child molestation charges, said Sgt. Ed Whiting.
Parkhurst was not home but later turned himself in to police.
