Mother Who Left Kids in Hot Car Sentenced
- Share via
A young mother who left her two sons inside a hot car in June while she shopped was sentenced Wednesday to three years of probation, court officials said.
Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Alice Hill also ordered Subha Sara Sadaf, 21, of Northridge to complete a parenting class and 80 hours of community service.
Earlier this month, Sadaf pleaded no contest to one count of child abuse as part of a plea deal.
An off-duty police officer found Sadaf’s two children, 7 weeks and 19 months old, sleeping in the locked car while their mother was grocery shopping in Northridge.
