The state Supreme Court on Wednesday denied Soka University’s request for review of an appellate court ruling halting the expansion of its Calabasas campus.
In July, the 2nd District Court of Appeal reversed the trial court, finding that the project’s environmental impact report was inadequate.
The school, which owns 580 acres in the Santa Monica Mountains, wants to double the size of the campus, which is about 12 acres. The expansion was approved by Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors in 1997.
