Motorcyclist Killed When Bike Jumps Road

A man was killed Sunday afternoon in the Santa Monica Mountains when he lost control of the motorcycle he was riding and flew off an embankment, California Highway Patrol Officer Spencer Ammons said.
The man, who was wearing a helmet, was traveling northbound on Stunt Road, just west of Schueren Road, at an unknown speed when he crossed into opposing lanes and flew 27 feet off the embankment. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not released pending notification of family members.
