Plea Bargain Reported in Synagogue Arsons

Two brothers accused of torching three synagogues in the capital city two years ago reportedly will plead guilty today under an agreement with federal prosecutors.
Under terms of the deal, Benjamin Matthew Williams, 33, is expected to plead guilty to arson and receive a sentence of 30 years in federal prison, according to KCRA-TV in Sacramento. His brother, James Tyler Williams, will enter a similar plea and also be sentenced to a 30-year term, the station reported.
The plea agreement must be approved by U.S. District Judge Garland Burrell.
