A Northridge woman who allegedly left her 1-year-old son in a heated car in Granada Hills for 30 minutes will probably be charged with a felony count of child endangerment, authorities said.
Soo Kim, 34, was booked Saturday and released on $50,000 bail, after shoppers at a TJ Maxx store on Chatsworth Street reported seeing her crying child locked inside the family’s minivan.
The baby was rescued by a bystander and taken to Granada Hills Community Hospital, where he was treated for dehydration. Temperatures reached 91 degrees that day, and the baby was sweating profusely, said Det. Malena Heissel of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Kim is due to be arraigned at San Fernando Superior Court on Oct. 17.
