Fair to Focus on Disaster Preparedness

The Ventura County sheriff’s Office of Emergency Services is staging a fair today to kick off Earthquake Preparedness Month.
The free event will have personnel from several public safety agencies on hand to assist in planning for the next quake or other disaster.
Rescue equipment, police cars, search and rescue dogs, firetrucks, other emergency vehicles and helicopters will be on display.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Camarillo Town Center, by the Ventura Freeway and Las Posas Road. For more information, call the Office of Emergency Services at 654-2551.
