Man Convicted of Crimes at Bohemian Grove

A Nevada man was found guilty of five felonies for breaking into a Russian River compound last year to stop what he thought were human sacrifices and child abuse.
Richard McCaslin, 37, of Carson City was convicted Tuesday of arson, burglary and brandishing a weapon at a peace officer, and of two enhancements for being armed and wearing a bulletproof vest while committing his crimes.
McCaslin said he hoped to expose human sacrifice at Bohemian Grove, a two-week encampment of the Bohemian Club that draws business and political leaders, including former President George Bush and former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger.
McCaslin still faces federal charges, including crossing state lines intending to commit arson.
