Robber Takes Money and Runs From Ventura CalFed Branch

A California Federal Bank branch in Ventura was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money, authorities said Saturday.
The heist occurred about 2:45 p.m. Friday at the CalFed office in the 1000 block of South Victoria Avenue, police said.
No one was injured and the robber remained at large Saturday evening.
The robber walked into the bank and demanded money from a teller, claiming he had a gun. No weapon was seen, police said.
A description of the man, who fled on foot, was not released by police.
The bank robbery was the 14th in the county this year.
