One Man Dies, One Hurt in Separate Shootings

Two shootings early Sunday morning left a 21-year-old man dead and a 50-year-old man clinging to life, authorities said. Investigators do not believe the shootings are related.
At 1 a.m. in 2000 block of South Main Street, police found the 50-year-old apparent transient suffering from a single gunshot wound to his stomach.
He underwent two surgeries at Western Medical Center--Santa Ana and is in critical condition. Police are searching for two men.
About 30 minutes later, Cesar Augusto Flores Tejeda of Santa Ana was shot during a gang-related attack in 2100 block of South Pacific Avenue following an altercation, police said.
Tejeda was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are searching for two men.
