SOUTH KOREA

A senior North Korean delegation arrived in South Korea today for three days of talks on stalled reconciliation projects.
The U.S. will be scrutinizing the meeting in Seoul to gauge what is motivating Pyongyang’s latest burst of diplomatic activity and how to respond when it holds its own talks with the reclusive North, possibly next month.
South Korean media quoted government sources as saying Seoul wanted to focus on re-linking a railway and a road severed since the 1950-53 Korean War and arrange another round of family reunions.
