A 47-year-old Whittier man was killed in a two-car collision in La Habra late Friday and his passenger was taken into custody for parole violation.
Police said Kirk Thorwaldson was driving his 1953 Chevrolet south on Harbor Boulevard when it collided with a 1996 Saturn, heading west on Lambert Road about 11 p.m. Thorwaldson was ejected and suffered major head injuries. He was taken to St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, where he died, police said.
The driver of the Saturn, an unidentified 17-year-old La Habra girl, was not seriously injured.
A passenger in Thorwaldson’s car, whom police identified as Sandra Kobler, was taken into custody for a no-bail parole violation.
