Patrick Macnee, who played that most elegant of 1960s secret agents, John Steed, will be on hand when American Cinematheque screens episodes of “The Avengers” at 7:30 p.m. Friday and 7:45 p.m. Saturday at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood. Alas, no Mrs. Peel.
