Will Parra’s Momentum Hold Up?

The men’s 1,500-meter speedskating took on additional interest with last week’s silver medal run by Derek Parra of the United States in the 5,000. Parra’s best event is the 1,500, where he was the silver medalist in last year’s world championships.

Adne Sondral of Norway is back to attempt to defend his gold medal won at Nagano, and Rintje Ritsma of the Netherlands leads a strong Dutch contingent in the event.
