Retrial of Man Begins in Death of Girl, 3

The retrial began Wednesday of a Long Beach man charged with assault in connection with the death of his girlfriend’s 3-year-old daughter, whose body was entombed in concrete.
Randy Lonell Foster, 24, in April was found innocent of murdering the girl but was convicted of child abuse. The Los Angeles Superior Court jury deadlocked on involuntary manslaughter and assault charges.
Prosecutors alleged that Foster helped his girlfriend, Rakeisha Scott, kill the girl and hide the body in a concrete block, which was discovered in his car trunk.
Foster and Scott have said that Milan Anjonet Scott Wilson’s death was an accident.
